Carving as an Art:
Fruit carving
is a venerable tradition which has been passed down from ancient
times.
The art of fruit carving is performed in Asian countries such as
Korea, Japan, Thailand and China.
Fruit carving was originally an aristocratic art for the King's
court. Not only was the taste and aroma of a dish important but
also it's visual appeal.
Carving reached its zenith during the Bangkok reign of King Rama
II when servants to the king created flowers, fish, vases, bowls,
and other decorative objects from watermelons, apples, pineapple,
mango and papayas.
I have learned such an art and would like to share it with you.
All fruits if used with care, can give you many days of enjoyment.
If its for a platter garniture, flower arrangements, or for a buffet
show piece it doesn’t matter. If sprayed with Keep Fresh spray
then wrapped in plastic foil and stored in the refrigerator over
night to regenerate, you will have a fresh and good looking product
the following day.
Perfect for any occasion, Wedding, VIP buffets, Sunday brunch, Business
lunch, Birthdays or even Mothers day.
Let me carve something for your next important day.
All prices for fruits and vegetable are due to availability and
season.
